PackagingWhen you have a new-born in the house, you know you will be needing wipes at least for the next few years. When you are new, you obviously end up buying a handy travel size pack, which is fine. But as you will be needing loads of them, buy reusable plastic containers. Buy large refill packs and restock them to save the extra expense.

Do not flush themDiapers and wipes should never be flushed. Flushing these can create a havoc in your plumbing. If you still want to flush them, check on the packs and buy the ones that can be flushed. Though this type is not easily available.

Overusing wipesYou may not believe but every diaper change does not require the use of wipes. This is because pee rarely irritates the skin and the diapers now available in the market limit the amount of pee that comes in contact with the skin. Also, a moist tissue, a wet cloth or a quick wash in the tub instead of using baby wipes is a better option.

TipPrefer using unscented wipes because many babies do not like the smell of wipes and that may irritate them. Also, more scent means more chemicals, so opt for non-scented ones.
