Caring for baby’s skin

Image
Since a baby’s immature skin is more sensitive and vulnerable to dry air, dust and chemicals like soap, he is more likely to suffer from dryness and skin issues like eczema. Therefore, moisturising well will add a protective layer to the skin. Get a good lotion Make sure a good fragrance- and preservative-free lotion or cream is an essential part of your sweetie’s skincare routine. Creams have more oil content and less water as opposed to lotions, which have more water and much less oil content. When the child has sensitive skin or eczema, it is better to use moisturising creams as opposed to lotions to seal moisture into the skin, especially after a bath. Baby skincare tips Use warm, not hot water to bathe your bub. Limit the use of soap. Keep bath time short and avoid bubble baths. Avoid using rough wash cloths. Pat rather than rub your baby’s skin dry. Apply cream soon after drying baby as the cream will seal in any moisture from the bath onto his skin.

Baby care: How to care for your baby's hair?

Image
It’s soft as silk and gentle to touch; a new born baby’s hair is priceless and you can’t stop playing with your cute bundle of joy . As the baby grows the hair too turns into pretty locks. But the questions arise: Do kids need the same hair treatment as adults? Do they have the same hair problems as we grown ups do? We get to the root of this hairy situation of our adorable babies. A baby starts growing hair six months into pregnancy. When the baby is born, it will lose the hair and grow stronger hair. Whether the child is bald or has hair, it is recommended that we maintain the baby’s hair. Gently wash the baby’s hair at least twice a week, in the first month of after birth. If the baby suffers from dandruff, then wash the hair more frequently. It is always safer and makes sense to use baby shampoo on their fragile tresses and scalp. Several shampoos, available today, are meant only for babies; these shampoos are sensitive enough for your baby’s skin and will not...

For kids who stay glued to the phone, with their necks crouched down playing a game or watching a video, melatonin, which is essential for a good sleep cycle is also disturbed. If phones are the...
